The UK GGR Event

The GGR-D Programme is excited to be hosting the UK GGR Event, taking place at the Royal Institution in central London from Monday 29 September to Wednesday 1 October 2025.

Funded by UKRI, the GGR-D programme includes the CO2RE Hub and five interdisciplinary GGR Demonstrator projects, each researching a GGR method: Peatlands (GGR-Peat), Biochar, Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW), Perennial Biomass Crops (PBC4GGR) and Woodland Creation and Management (NetZero+).

Bringing together researchers and innovators from the programme with policymakers, businesses, NGOs, investors and others with an interest in greenhouse gas removal (GGR), this celebratory event is the culmination of the 4.5-year GGR-D Programme.

We will share findings from research on assessing sustainable routes for large-scale removal in the UK, showcase the range of innovation and engagement projects supported through the programme, and foster debate on what comes next for GGR in the UK.

The event will finish with an Innovation Day highlighting a range of UK start-ups that are tackling some of the most interesting GGR challenges facing us today.

Registration closes on 26 September 2025 and tickets are being snapped up, so we encourage you to reserve your place as soon as you can.
